Brgy. Puga-an Iligan City 54th year Celebration

ILIGAN CITY – – On November 23-24, 2016, Barangay Puga-an commemorated their 54th year celebration with the theme “Puga-an: Padayon sa Paglambo”.
In observation, the Barangay Officials prepared a program for the residents of the district. Councilors Ryan Ong and Petronilo Pardillo were in attendance along with the District Officials and the City Councilor’s representatives.
On this program, Councilor Pardillo commended the efforts of the District Officials for their preparation. He also mentioned the several issues that he has noticed in the District. On his talk, he assured the residents that he and Councilor Ong are already having talks to communicate and request both Smart and Globe for future connection in the area. As Chairman of Senor Citizen and Veterans Affairs he informed the residents of the benefits that the elderly can get from the City government.
Councilor Ong also encouraged the residents of Brgy. Puga-an to help improve the District. He then mentioned that the Council is working together so that the 4P’s will be institutionalized and will be not be stopped for the welfare of the poor in need. He also mentioned a resolution for the Students concerning Free Public Wifi, so that the less fortunate students will have access to the internet.
On the program, several booths were set up containing vegetables and fruits that are considered abundant in Brgy. Puga-an. Students as well as Faculties were also in attendance for the presentation and contest.
