DTI-LN Conducts Mktg Promotion for the Producers of Iligan & LDN

The Department of Trade and Industry-Lanao del Norte conducted a briefing for the local food and non-food producers of Iligan City and Lanao del Norte discussing the opening of the Iligan City Robinsons Mall on June 2017, where a 61 sq. m. space will be allocated as Pasalubong Center showcasing the products of Iligan City and Lanao del Norte. Participants as far as Sultan Naga Dimaporo (SND), Kapatagan, Lala, Tubod, Munai, and Balo-I, together with Iligan City participants attended the meeting. This briefing is a pre-screening of the market ready products of the local producers in the area, for inclusion in the display area. The briefing started with a welcome address from PD Ruel B. Paclipan, he provided the participants an overview of the flow of the activity, informing them that once their product passes the screening, they can then display their items at Robinsons Pasalubong Center. Mr. Orlando Maglinao, a representative from the Office of the Congressman, who provided the recommendation letter to Robinsons Management, gave an inspirational message to the group. The operator of the pasalubong center, Mr. Marc Claro, briefed the group as to what is expected from the chosen MSMEs. After the meeting, the group had an open forum, where the participants asked the operator as well as DTI-Lanao del Norte about what to expect from Robinsons Pasalubong Center Iligan City. PD Ruel B. Paclipan confirmed with the operator that the Terms and Conditions will be discussed later before the opening of the Pasalubong Center. Out of the 51 registered MSMEs who attended the meeting, 100 product sample products and pictures were submitted to DTI-Lanao del Norte. These product profile and sample pictures were then given to the operator, who will then submit it to Robinsons Management for the final approval.
