Iligan City – Iliganons represented the Philippines in different events from the recent highly successful 2019 Southeast Asian Games (2019 SEA Games) in Manila, Philippines from November 30 to December 11.

Iliganon pride, Jeson Patrombon, won not only a medal but will be bringing home two after winning bronze for men’s singles and gold for men’s doubles in the tennis event held at Rizal Memorial Tennis Courts on December 6.

Tennis was among the sports contested at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. Five events were featured for tennis namely: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Four countries were pitted against each other during this event.

Another Iliganon Pride bagged an award in another event of the 2019 SEA Games. Nicole Justine Marie Oliva, won a bronze award in the 4×200 m freestyle relay. The swimming competitions at the 2019 SEA Games were held at the New Clark City Aquatics Center from December 4 to 9. The Swimming event was participated by a total of six countries with 19 different categories.

Two other Iliganons were also able to represent the country in the 2019 SEA Games  Kim Iglupas (Women’s Lawn Tennis Event) and Kathlene Arado (Women’s Volleyball) acting as libero.
