Mayor Celso Regencia Leads the Turnover and Blessing of the City Hall Canteen

(Wednesday, 26th day of September 2018)

Iligan City – September 26 marks the blessing and formal turnover of the City Hall Canteen. Joining the event were the city councilors headed by Mayor Celso G. Regencia and the department heads.

The invocation was led by the Buhanginan Voices followed by the national anthem by the Iligan City Jazz Band. A welcome address was then delivered by Councilor Petronillo G. Pardillo, the project overview came next which was given by Councilor Renato L. Ancis, Committee Chairman on Infrastructure.

The 16th council agreed to fund the construction of the city hall canteen as part of the contribution for the development because for 68 years city hall employees never had a cozy place to eat and buy their lunch and snacks.

Employees can now enjoy eating their meals at the canteen. The facility is fully airconditioned, modernly designed with multi-functional space. Mayor Regencia and the city councilors encouraged the employees to patronize the canteen so that it can continually operate to serve them and to also make it easy for every employee to buy meals and lunch. The newly built canteen is also one of Mayor Regencia’s endeavors.

To all Iliganons, expect more community projects from Regencia’s administration, because his commitment to serve is being stated in our city vision.

The inauguration is part of the series of activities lined up for the upcoming Iligan City fiesta celebration.
